UPDATED on November 12, 2019: Microsoft has started rollout of Windows 10 November 2019 Update. Currently it's only available to advanced users who manually check for updates using Windows Update or download the feature update using official Microsoft tools mentioned below.
Microsoft has released the new Windows 10 November 2019 Update to public. Its a new version or feature update of Windows 10 operating system which comes with many new features, changes, improvements and bug fixes as mentioned in our exclusive changelog topic.
For your information, the build number of November 2019 Update is build 18363 and the version number is 1909. So its the same 19H2 build which was released to Windows Insiders group on October 08, 2019. If you are a Windows Insider and you have installed build 18363 recently, you are already using November 2019 Update build.
Windows 10 November 2019 Update can be downloaded, installed and upgraded in 2 ways:
- OPTION 1: Automatic upgrade via Windows Update
- OPTION 2: Manual upgrade or clean installation via official Microsoft tools
Let's talk about both options in details!
You can manually check for the new feature update using Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Update page. If it finds the new update, it'll automatically start downloading and installing the update for you. The update will be labeled as "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909".OPTION 1: Automatic Upgrade via Windows Update
Microsoft will begin the global automatic rollout of Windows 10 November 2019 Update via Windows Update to all existing Windows 10 PCs soon. The roll out will begin in phases, starting with newer machines first. The first phase will download the update on newer devices which were tested by Microsoft with their OEM hardware partners. After that Microsoft will start expanding the update release to remaining devices. According to Microsoft the complete process of Windows 10 November 2019 Update roll out may take several months.
